The Damel, Oumar Diouf
Oumar Diouf is the Chef and founder of The Damel, a quick service, take-out, and delivery food service business in Oakland, that serves West African and South American cuisine, including Argentinian empanadas. His mission is to contribute to the Bay Area’s life and culture by building a new culinary adventure based on his background, his cooking experience, travel stories, languages, and cultures.
Oumar is an immigrant who started in 2017 offering an Afro Brazilian Catering service. The Damel now has a brick-and-mortar location and a food truck in Downtown Oakland and has started a ghost kitchen in San Francisco.
